  1. From The New International Version Genesis 3: 14-15

14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

I believe that God has a plan for us all. I believe that this verse speaks of the coming of Jesus who is The Christ, 4000 years before it happened. Does this not imply a predestined plan by God.

  2. From The NIV
    Luke 11:17

17 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: “Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

Do you think That Abraham Lincoln derived his famous ” A House Divided” speech from the Bible

  3. From The NIV
    Psalm 15

    A psalm of David.
1 LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? 2 The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; 3 whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; 4 who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; 5 who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.

To say, or do, evil to anyone, is wrong in the eyes of God. Love thy neighbor.

  4. 2 Kings 2-11

11 And as they went walking and talking, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and did separate them twain. So Elijah went up by a whirlwind into [h]heaven.

    John 3 : 13 – 15

13 For no [m]man [n]ascendeth up to heaven, but he that had descended from heaven, [o]that Son of man which [p]is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must that Son of man be lifted up,

15 That whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

I had a friend by the name of Darry, that pointed out the above verses. Below is his theory. Darry’s theory is not written in the bible, and is only his opinion.

There are areas of Scripture where we can surmise but should not be dogmatic. I would place this in that category. I’m going to tell you my take on this. You may not agree, many smarter than me may not agree, this is just my understanding so I don’t want you to think this is carved in stone. There are 3 heavens mentioned in Scripture: the 1st is our atmosphere, the 2nd is what we call outer space and the 3rd is the abode of God. In John 3:13 Jesus told Nicodemus “No man has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.” So we know from Jesus own words that, at this point in history, nearly 900 years prior to Jesus, no human had ascended into the abode of God which is the heaven Jesus is referencing here. When Elijah was taken up in the chariot we are told “Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” 2 Kings 2:11b. So we already know from Jesus words that he didn’t ascend into the abode of God. I believe he was taken up into the 1st heaven by God for a purpose. If one researches the geography of Israel we find that Elijah went up in the chariot just across the Jordan River very near Mt. Nebo where God buried Moses. Moses and Elijah are the two whose ministries were incomplete. Moses represents the ‘Law’ and Elijah the ‘Prophets’. They both met with Jesus on the Mt. of Transfiguration which, for reasons I’ll not go into here, I believe is the real Mt. of Transfiguration. I believe they are the two witnesses in Revelation 11, the two ‘men’ standing by the empty tomb in Luke 21:4, and the two ‘men’ who told the disciples to stop looking into heaven and get busy in Acts 1:10. We aren’t told this about Elijah but I believe Elijah died and God buried him next to Moses on Mt. Nebo to await the completion of their joint ministry.

  6. Genesis 22New International Version (NIV)

2 Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”
3 Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you.”
6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”
    “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.
“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”
8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!”
    “Here I am,” he replied.
12 “Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.”
13 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram[a] caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided.”

The Old Testament is Jesus Concealed

Abraham traveled for three days. Jesus laid in the earth for three days.
Isaac was Abraham’s only son whom he loved. Jesus is God’s only son whom he loved.
Isaac carried the wood for his sacrifice. Jesus carried his wooden cross.
Isaac was to be the sacrificial lamb. Jesus was the lamb of God.
Abraham was over 100 years old and Isaac was at least in his teens. So he must have willingly allowed Abraham to bound him and lay him on the alter. Jesus willingly went to the cross.
After The Angel of the Lord stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac, he instead sacrificed a ram that was caught in a thicket by his horns. ( a thicket is a thorn bush ) Jesus wore a crown of thorns.
Is this not the story of Jesus ?
