Matthew 6:9-13 King James Version (KJV)

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

The Meaning:
Our Father (The creator of us all) who art in heaven (Although God is omnipresent, Heaven is his kingdom, where we who believe, hope to spend eternity.) Hollowed be thy name. (His name is reverent, or the most holy) Thy kingdom come, ( Thru everlasting life for the souls who believe, or the end of days, God’s Kingdom is coming.) Thy will be done in earth, (We are on this planet, not for us, but to do the will of God.) As it is in heaven. (In heaven, God’s commands are obeyed, with question.) Give us this day our daily bread. (God will provide us with all that we need.) And forgive us our debts, (Tresspasses or sins. Anything that we do, that is wrong in the eyes of God.) As we forgive our debtors. (To receive forgiveness from God. You must forgive everyone, that does you wrong, for what ever they do to you, for God will be their judge.) And lead us not into temptation, (Thru study of the bible, and prayer, God will help you to follow a path that is righteous) But deliver us from evil. (By asking for God’s help, and trusting in him. God will show you the way, to stop doing those things that he considers to be evil. We are all sinners, and we all do evil things at times.) For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, (God is the creator of all that has been, and all that will be. God has absolute power over all that exists. Praise and glorify God, Forever.) Amen. (Amen has several meanings. Mostly it means, so be it, or it shall be done.)
